The
newsletter is published monthly as well as weekly.
The monthly issue is 16 to 20 pages in length and includes: 1) Economic
and market commentary, sometimes in the form of interviews with prominent
personalities such as Jim Rogers, David Tice, Frank Holmes, Congressman Ron
Paul, M.D., and Ian Gordon, 2) A review of the performance of our Model
Portfolio in conjunction with the editor’s market outlook, 3) One or more
equity research Reports.
The
Weekly issue (provided only by email and by telephone call) is usually 15 to 20
pages in length. This service is used to: 1) discuss markets, primarily the
equity, debt and gold markets, 2) Make new buy and sell recommendations and 3)
To present the editor’s news and views on existing stock recommendations,
mostly in relation to news events of the past week. The weekly service is
updated every Saturday evening at 8:00 PM EST.
At
the present time, our Model Portfolio is geared to profit from a declining stock
market and a declining dollar and from rising gold markets because according to
our analysis, those are the primary trends for these major markets. To
accomplish our goal of profiting from the primary trends, we use a) a mutual
fund that shorts the dollar, b) another mutual fund that shorts the equity
markets, c) long positions in gold mining shares, d) long positions in
commodities via the Rogers Raw Materials Fund or another commodity orientated
mutual fund.
For
the sake of diversity and also to benefit from some sub-trends we also have a
minor portion of our portfolio in energy and high-tech stocks. Our energy stock
recommendations are in two categories: 1) Income producing oil and gas companies
and 2) energy technology companies.
Our technology companies are limited specifically to those the editor
believes can reduce the cost of producing essential goods and services such as:
a) food, b) energy, c) water, d) medical care.
